31 Gush Katif Families to Rebuild Their Homes in North

The government has given approval for 31 families from Gush Katif families from Elei Sinai, Dugit, and Nissanit to rebuild their homes at Kibbutz Nvei Yam, just south of Haifa in northern Israel.

Gush Katif Business Owners Bill Passes First Reading

Finally, owners of businesses in Gush Katif that crashed when the area was evacuated in 2005 may be getting some recompense.

Ynet reports that a bill offering pensions to business owners who have not, to date, resuscitated their businesses has passed its first reading in the Knesset. To read this report, click here.

Official: Gov’t Mishandled Gush Katif Refugees

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) states that the final report on the government’s handling of the former residents concludes that the government mishandled the situation, and it calls for solutions for all outstanding issues by the end of 2011.
