Gush Katif Expellees Breathe New Life Into Moshav

The Jerusalem Post carried a positive story this week about how around 24 families from Pe’at Hasadeh, one of the Gush Katif communities destroyed in the Disengagement, have breathed new life into a moshav. The families are now living in Mavki’im, a community founded by Hungarian Holocaust survivors in 1949. The two communities, both of whom have survived their own tragedies, have accepted each other and possess a unique understanding of having to rebuild their lives after being forcibly uprooted from their homes.
